ISLE ROYALE, Mich. — Rangers have contained only 30 acres of a 200-acre wildfire on Lake Superior’s Isle Royale National Park. Planes have been scooping water from Lake Superior and making drops on hot spots. Historic cabins from the early 1900s on Tobin Harbor were in the fire’s path but were saved. Liz Valencia, a National Park Service spokesperson, spokeswoman, said lightning started the fire August 10.
