NEKOOSA, Wis. –A man, apparently feigning to be ailing, pulled a gun on a passerby who went to help him, demanded his wallet, shot him in the stomach, and fled. The weapon was a BB gun. The samaritan’s injuries were minor. Police didn’t release the victim’s name. The man said he had been driving near West Church Avenue and Thunder Trail across the Wisconsin River about 11 p.m. He got out of his vehicle and approached the person, who was hunched over by the side of the road. He described his assailant as in mid-20s, clean-shaven, and wearing a green shirt and jeans.
