MINNEAPOLIS – Gubernatorial hopeful Scott Jensen’s running mate, Matt Birk, said Jensen has been unfairly criticized for saying he sees Governor Tim Walz as an early-stage Nazi. Jensen’s Nazi allusion has been taken out of context, said Birk, a former Minnesota Vikings center: “We know the game. I’ve been a victim of it. Scott’s been the victim of it for a long time. You take 10-second sound clips and then everybody, it’s the age of outrage on Twitter.” Jensen himself has avoided reporters who tried to trail him through the State Fair for reaction to growing criticism.
