CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The closely watched prognostication site by political scientist Larry Sabato sees November elections to the Minnesota Legislature among the closest in the nation. In short:

> State Senate: Leaning Republican.

> State House: A toss-up for now.

Sabato’s analysis: “Both of Minnesota’s chambers should be in play this year, but given the national political environment, it would be easier for the GOP to consolidate power by flipping the House than for the Democrats to do it by flipping the Senate.” Sabato is at the University of Virginia.
