WINONA, Minn.— The state Senate majority leader, Jeremy Miller, R-Winona, called President Biden’s Covid vaccination mandate on major employers “ridiculous and unreasonable.” Miller, himself a business owner, said the mandate was ill-timed. “As businesses continue to bounce back from the pandemic, there is already a struggle to find enough workers, and these mandates will make it even more difficult for businesses and the economy to fully recover,” he said. Miller’s Winona scrap metal business is exempted from the Biden mandate, which applies only to companies with 100 or more employees. Miller Scrap has 20 employees.
