LA CROSSE, Wis. – An inch of snow may blanket the Coulee region Wednesday afternoon or evening and still be on the ground through Christmas, forecasters say. Temperatures will fall below freezing in places Wednesday with a 60% chance of precipitation. Whether the precip is in the afternoon or later in the evening will decide whether it’s rain or snow. In the afternoon emperatures will drop below freezing,then near zero overnight. The high on Thursday is forecast only at10 degrees and then zero again Christmas morning. Christmas Day will be the low 20s.
