WINONA, Minn. — Police agencies that deployed an armored war vehicle to the Maplewood Townhomes after stabbing Tuesday found support, as well as critics, on social media. One post thanked police “for taking care of the community and not allowing this man to run around free and possibly hurt another individual.” Police said the multi-agency Winona County Emergency Response Team was called un only after failed attempts to contact the suspect, Lamel Vance Lillard, to surrender.
