WINONA, Minn. – City police have called in the Minnesota State Patrol to reconstruct events related to a car smashing into the Plumbers Mechanical Group building on Junction Street. The driver was seriously injured. City police reported chasing the driver down the Broadway thoroughfare but backed off when speeds reached 70 mph. Moments later, the pursuing officer said, he found the car smashed into the plumbing supply house on a side street.
