MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin food safety agency recalled lard from four Wisconsin stores. Inspections found a reasonable probability the lard could affect a person’s health seriously. According to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, the lard was produced without proper safety precautions, some as far back as September 2021. The lard has been on the shelves  at:

> Amery Meat Market, Amery: 1.5-pound to 1.75-pound pound containers.

> Eastman Locker, Eastman: , Rendered lard in one-pound tubs.

> Gunderson’s Food Service, Mondovi: Rendered lard in four-pound tubs.

>Weber’s Processing Plant, Cuba City: Five-pound- and 10-pound tubs.
