WINONA, Minn. – Middle school students raised $720 by buying $1 Christmas gifts through a holiday shop at the school. The money goes to the Winona emergency warming shelter. The AVID Store gifts, many of them unique, were donated for students to shop for friends and family. The school’s staff donated many of the items and volunteered time to wrap the students’ purchases.
