WINONA, Minn. – The state Agriculture Department will run free tests of well water for nitrate contamination on Saturday. Well owners are invited to take samples to the Winona Historical Museum between 1 and 4 p.m. for clinical analysis on the spot. Advance registration is requested.
Instructions
Run your water 5 to 5 to10 minutes, take one cup in a clean sealed container, keep it cool, then take it to the museum at 160 Johnson Street. The sample should be collected at least 24 hours before the clinic.
