Suspected e.Coli prompts lettuce recall

SPRECKLES, Calf. – A major lettuce grower, Tanimura and Antle, voluntarily recalled thousands of heads of romaine lettuce over possible e. Coli contamination. Affected were 34,000 cartons of individually packed heads shipped to 19 states, including Wisconsin. No sickness has been reported. The company said the action was done “in abundance if caution.”
