MASON CTY, Iowa – An 18-wheeler struck an Iowa State Patrol trooper’s car, which was on the shoulder tending to another accident. The trooper said he wasn’t hurt but was taken to a Mason City hospital for examination. The truck driver was unhurt. The accident was on slick roads in the afternoon.
