WASHINGTON — resident Trump will visit Chippewa County in western Wisconsin on Friday, the White House announced. Details were not released except that Trump will be explaining his economic program. With Trump will be WI-3’s Reoublican  Congressman DerrickVan Orden, a Trump devtee..  It was expected that a farm has been lined up near Chippewa Falls for photo-opp publicity. Opportunities for meaningful dialogue with citizens and news media were not expected. The visit is at an awkward moment in the Trump presidency. Polls show his disapproval nationally is approaching 70%. A Marquette Law School last month found 60%-plus disapproval of the Trump war on Iran, which people blame for soaring prices for gas, groceries and consumer goods. In Chippwa Falls gas is at $3.89 gallon. Farmers are in budget crises for essential diesel and fertiizer, due also to th eIran war. Also: Many Wisconsin farmers have suffered crippling export losses due to Trump’s mercurial tariff policies
