MADISON, Wis. – Liberals wrested control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the first time in 15 years. Milwaukee Judge Janet Protasiewicz defeated Dan Kelly, a former justice who wanted back on the Court. With a new 4-3 majority, the Court will be a position to undo the GOP-rigged gerrymandering that has maintained a narrow Republican majority in the Legislature. Also vulnerable will be an 1849 law banning abortion.
