ARCADIA, Wis. – A four-member arborist crew began planting 250 trees at Arcadia sites as a gift of the Wanek Foundation. The first batch of trees, all maples, were each in 350-pound pallets that were buried intact in the El Dorado Hills residential neighborhood to become an eventual leafy boulevard canopy. Others will go in at Veterans Memorial Park, Vilas Hanson Park, and Schultz Park. The Blue Earth, Minnesota, firm Legacy Trees is doing the installation for the Waneks, who own Arcadia-based furniture manufacturer Ashley.
