WINONA, Minn. – The deputy Winona County auditor-treasurer, Chelsi Wilbright, sailed to a November ballot position to suceced her boss. After 14 years, Sandra Suchla, who is 57, is retiring. In the primary election Tuesday, Wilbright amassed 3,478 votes. Second was John Eger, who won 1,636 votes for a place also on the November ballot. Eger, 58, is a former marketing professor at Minnesota State College Southeast. In campaigning Wilbright, 33, stressed her knowledge of the department’s duties, which include runimg elections. Eger cast himself as an outsider with fresh thinking from his management experience.
