LEWISTON, Minn. – Trees, power lines and farm buildings were damaged in a severe wind storm, possibly a tornado, that swept through farm and cropland southwest of Lewiston. No injuries reported. Damage was along County Road 6, tarting a couple miles west of the Fremont Store. A meteorological team from the National Weather Service planned to head out at dawn to look for clues about whether the damage was from straight-line or tornadic winds. Their real-time radar in LaCrosse wasn’t clear on the nature of the winds. Other storms the region were EF2 tornadoes with winds estimated at 111-plus mph.
