RED LAKE, Ontario — Two U.S. hunting buddies pleaded guilty to shooting a bull moose from a motorboat on Lenore Lake. Danion Chevalier of Quincy, Illinois, was fined $5,500. Michael Calteaux of Winona,  Minnesota, was fined $4,500. This was in the remote Kenora district of western Ontario. The criminal complaint said the men spotted a moose in the water and positioned the boat close to moose and shot it.
