MINNEAPOLI S– A woman was killed and three other people were injured when a vehicle charged into a protest in the trendy Uptown neighborhood where a black man was fatally shot earlier this month while being arrested. Witnesses said the driver struck a parked car, tossing it into the crowd. Protesters pulled the driver from his vehicle and began beating him. Police rescued the driver from the crowd, took him into custody, and sent him to a hospital. Authorities have not released his name or the names of the people who were injured. The crash happened about 11:40 p.m.  One witness, D.J. Hooker, told Minnesota Public Radio: “There was one line of barriers and then a second barrier. And he sped up. He sped up. He went even faster as he approached us. You could hear it start going even faster as he got close to us. The car went through the air and it hit a young woman.”
