WINONA, Minn. – A Winona State University sophomore was injured fatally in a collision that police blamed on a driver in a wrong lane of the divided Highway 61 at Highway 43 intersection. Hannah Alyce Goman, 20, of Stevens Point, was taken two blocks to the Winona hospital. The emergency room crew could not save her. The collision was about 12:45 a.m. Goman was in a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Nicholas Robert Lemmerond, 21, of Oshkosh Wisconsin. Lemmerond and a second passenger, Natalie Lynne Carlson, 25, of Oshkosh, were transported to the hospital with lesser but serious injuries. They were southbound in the southbound lanes when struck by a pickup truck going the wrong way, police said. The pickup driver, Samuel Anderson.35. of Winona, and his passenger, Trena Lynn Anderson, 35, of Winona, escaped uninjured. Alcohol, police said, was involved. They were in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.
