GLENDALE, Wis. – A wounded bald eagle found by a game warden died of cardiac arrest during complicated surgery at a Humane Society rehab center. The eagle was found helpless on the ground, its beak broken. This was in the far southwest Milwaukee suburb of Franklin. A wing was fractured. There was also a substantial wound. The eagle first underwent emergency surgery. The death occurred four days later in a second set of surgeries.
