LACROSSE, Wis. – A person was fatally shot after bar-closing time on Rose Street on the LaCrosse North Side. Police said the person died at a hospital. The person’s name was not released immediately. Police had been called around 2:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Rose Street. The block was cordoned off and was expected to remain closed most of the day for investigators to secure forensic evidence.
