WINONA, Minn. – A senior vice president at Northern State University in South Dakota, Jon Olson, was named vice president for advancement at Winona State. Olson also will be executive director of the university’s WSU Foundation fund-raising arm. More broadly, the duties involve public relations and institutional image enhancement. The appointment was announced by university President Scott Olson. He noted that the university has just complerted most successful fundraising year ever: “I believe Mr. Olson’s leadership will build on this strength and bring Winona State to the next level.
