CARROLTON, Minn. – A tornado that began in northeast Preston Wednesday night moved parallel along County Road 17 for almost two miles. The tornado uprooted and shattered trees and damaged farm buildings on the west side oF Highway 17 in Carrolton Township. There were no injuries. The tornado  weakened at Watson Creek, then withdrew into the thunderheads that were rolling through.
