MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — The leading manufacturer of N95 masks in the nation, 3M, has filed 18 lawsuits for fraud, counterfeiting and price gouging in connection with masks. 3M’s masks, which are approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, are the gold standard in protection against the coronavirus. The company said the suits resulted from investigations of 4,000 reports of problematic competition.
