WINONA, Minn. – The Winona County emergency management director, Ben Klinger, said the local infrastructure is in place for administering flu vaccines when they arrive. The first batch, he said, will be 5,000 doses for southeast Minnesota. Although 5,000 doses may sound like a lot, Klinger said it won’t be enough for all front-line health workers and other designated priority recipients. “We’re under the impression that once the shipments start, they will continue, so we should be able to work through this,” Klinger said in an interview on radio station KWNO.
