RUSHFORD, Minn. – The electricity co-op MiEnergy asked subscribers to ease their power usage through 6 p.m. Peak demand was expected, which could force the co-op to buy extra energy from its suppliers at premium rates. “Keep electricity rates stable and affordable by shifting electricity use to 6 p.m. or later today,” MiEnergy said. The co-op has 23,000 mostly rural members.
