BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. – A rural Jackson County man never suspected that police interviews about a corpse on a neighbor’s land would lead to this. But now, 21 months later, Michael Petersen has been charged with eight counts of possessing child pornography. The porn, according to the criminal complaint, was on a cellphone and hard drives that police found in Petersen’s pockets. This August, the complaint said, a digital evidence specialist located the pornography. Petersen, age 36, was scheduled for further proceedings in Jackson County Court in early December.
