SPRING GROVE, Minn. — The City Council voted to allow residents to raise chickens – an ordinance to help address record high egg prices. A license will be required. Coops will be limited to eight hens. Chickens will not be allowed to roam free but must be confined to coops, pens, runs or loops. Spring Grove, population 1,300, had not allowed chickens in town about as long as anyone can remember.
