MABEL, Minn. – Citizens are receiving reminders from city Treasurer Karen Larson about an ordinance limiting households to two pets. In June, Larson said, deputies will begin ticketing whenever they find a household in noncompliance. Larson said that ordinance long on the books considers more than two pets a kennel. Mabel, population 780, doesn’t allow kennels, she noted. Any household with more than two pets needs to find them another home, she said.
