ROCHESTER, Minn. – The superintendent of the Rochester schools since 2011, Michael Munoz, acknowledged plagiarizing a Thanksgiving letter to the district’s staff that thanked them for extraordinary efforts during the pandemic. He explained the plagiarism as “bad choice” but offered no further explanation. “Trying to explain what led me to do this would come across as making excuses,” he said. About apologizing, Munoz said he had been taught by his father to “own up to your mistake.”
