MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. – A rural couple has been scammed out of $650,000, a son reported to the sheriff’s office. The son wasn’t sure who the scammer was. An investigator was assigned to the case and was attempting to contact the couple — a 75-year-old man and a 73-year-woman. There was no early information on how long the scam went on or the form it took.
