WINONA, Minn. – Two more coronavirus deaths pushed the Winona County tally to eight, state health authorities said. The deaths raised the number of cases in the county to date to 56. The actual number undoubtedly is higher because some people have the disease and can pass it to others even though symptoms don’t show, the agency cautioned. Statewide 2,071 people have tested positive for the virus with 111 having died, 1,066 no longer needing to be in isolation, and 518 having required hospitalization, 223 of whom remain hospitalized.
