LACROSSE, Wis. — Fewer than 150 travelers a day pass through the troubled LaCrosse airport. A periodic report to the regional Aviation Board listed 43,125 passengers in 2025, a 12.5% increase from the year before but far short of the pre-CoVid era. Boardings and departures have never recovered from the Delta decision to end LaCrosse service, which had been hourly to Minneapolis at peak times of day. Remaining: Only three American flights, all to Chicago. A slight uptick can be expected with Allegiant Air’s new occasional service to vacation destinations. Meanwhile LaCrosse air travelers have the option of shuttle buses to Rochester and Minneapolis airports.
