WINONA, Minn. — Winona Health declined to address any specifics about hiring obstetrician Juan Carlos Angelats even though he was subject of a sexual harassment case in the Twin Cities. To news reporter questions, a hospital spokesperson issued this written statement:
“Winona Health follows a consistent hiring and credentialing process for all providers and caregivers. Each provider undergoes robust background screening and due diligence, verification of licensure and credentials, and formal review through our medical staff process. Our priority is to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients and community.”
Angelats remains listedon the Winona Health website as one of six providers specializing in women’s health:
