WINONA, Minn. — Police arrested a Winona man whom a woman said had shown up at her apartment door, accused her of infidelity, grabbed her neck, and hoisted her probably 10 seconds. When he let her down, she said, she told him she was calling the police, and he drove offf. The woman, age 40, told police she couldn’t breathe. This was about 5:30 p.m. in the 420 block of Cottonwood Drive. on the Far West End. Police located Titus Lamont Spears, age 39, across town in the 1000 block of Sugarloaf Road. He denied any physical assault .Police, however, found the woman’s report credible. He was taken to jail.
