AUSTIN, Minn. – A police tactical team surrounded a southeast Austin house after a stabbing victim was found in the front yard and another person, also stabbed, on a couch inside. A neighbor reported hearing at least six shots. That prompted police to establish a perimeter around the two-story house. As the team waited for a search warrant, a juvenile ran out of the house. The youth was caught hiding behind a vehicle a block away. A handgun was nearby. When the tactical officers entered the house, they found 15 to 20 people inside. The two stab victims, meanwhile, were taken to a hospital. The confusion began at 9 a.m. with a 911 call from the 900 block of 3rd Avenue Southwest. The first responding officers said numerous vehicles were fleeing the scene. One vehicle that returned was punctured with bullet holes, they said.
