LACROSSE, Wis. – A sewer crew began permanent fixes on a high-pressure sewer line that burst Saturday afternoon and dumped 42,000 gallons of sewage. The discharge went into the KaCrosse River and then the Mississippi upstream from Riverside Park. A pedestrian was the first to notice the overflow and called authorities.
