ST. PAUL, Minn. – Prominent at a state Capitol rally supporting the mob attack on the the national Capitol in Washington was State Representative Steve Drazkowski of Mazeppa. Drazkowski led chants against a state court judge who nixed witness requirements for voting and who extended the deadline for counting mail ballots. Drazkowski, a Republican, has been an ardent Trump supporter, especially on voter suppression initiatives. The rally began at the Capitol in St. Paul with 500 demonstrators and moved to the governor’s mansion. Reporter Stephen Montemayor of the Star Tribune characterized the four-hour rally as a mixture of violent rhetoric and jubilation. There were cheers and song and talk of armed. The crowd cheered when the Washington mob breached the national Capitol.
