WASHINGTON – Articles of impeachment against President Trump are being drafted by Minnesota Congress member Ilhan Omar. “We can’t allow him to remain in office,” she said after thousands of Trump supporters invaded the U.S. Capital, some with weapons. Trump had unleashed them in a rally at the White House and they marched a mile to the Capitol. Others besides Omar also talked of impeachment, which if successful would bar Trump from public office forever. Said Omar: “Trump should be impeached by the House of Representatives and removed from office by the United States Senate. It’s a matter of preserving our republic, and we need to fulfill our oath.” Omar, a Democrat, represents Minnesota’s 2nd Congressioa]nal District.
