ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Legislature gave Governor Tim Walz’s another 30 days of authority to issue executive orders to direct the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The extension was the first in eight months without requiring a special session of the Legislature. Further extensions, through mid-May anyway, can be made as regular agenda items while the Legislature is in normal session.
