LACROSSE, Wis. – The publisher of the Fort Worth, Texas, Star-Telegram has been named publisher of River Valley Newspapers, which puts out the LaCrosse Tribune, Winona Daily News, and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Herald. The appointment of Sean Burke was announced by the Lee Enterprises newspaper chain that owns the papers. Earlier Burke was a regional publisher for the Gatehouse newspaper chain in New England. Burke succeeds Josh Trust, who left the company after 1-1/2 years and became marketing director for casino vendor Lucky Street Gaming in Rockford, Illinois.
