GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One of six men charged in a plot to kidnap and possibly assassinate Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pleaded guilty. Ty Garbin. 25, of Hartland, Michigan, an airline mechanic, signed a plea agreement to “fully cooperate” with investigators. In effect he’s become a witness against other conspirators. The operation included a military-style training camp near Cambria, Wisconsin.

Garbin. Admitted to casing Governor Whitmer’s vacation home in preparation for the kidnapping, also to attending training exercises.
