ZUMBROTA, Minn. – Fourteen people packed in a van bound for a wedding were hurt, three critically, when the van overturned while taking an exit from Highway 52 onto Highway 60 north of Zumbrota about 1:45 a.m. Everyone in the van was from southwest Wisconsin. Three passengers were rushed to a Rochester hospital with life-threatening injuries — Sarah Lambright, 33, of Pardeeville, Wisconsin; Rudy D. Gingerich, 40, of Blue River, Wisconsin; and Rudy J. Gingerich, 21, also of Blue River. The State patrol said the driver, Driver Derek Buress, 31, of Baraboo, and an infant passenger, Ervin Gingerich of Blue River, were unhurt. Twelve of the passengers weren’t wearing seat belts, the Patrol said. They were heading to central Minnesota in a 1999 Chevrolet Express van, most of them asleep. Most injuries were minor. One theory is that a right rear tire blew out. Road conditions: dry.
