WINONA, Minn. – Curtis L. Mihm, 76, of Winona, who retired as personnel director at Peerless Chain in 2009, died at home. Earlier he worked at the Watkins household goods company. He attended the University of Minnesota but during his last quarter he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Okinawa. While at the university he played baritone and marched in the 1964 inaugural parade for President Lyndon Johnson and Vice President Hubert Humphrey. He was honored with Winona’s Community Service Award in 1979 and Outstanding Alumni Award for Hibbing Junior College  in 1980. He was on the board of directors of the Winona Kiwanis Sunrisers, Group Homes of Winona, and the Red Cross.
