BEAVER BAY, Minn. – The state is finishing a new $7.5 million campground and mountain bike trail access at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park on the North Shore. The campground will have 46 sites with electric service, and modern showers and bathrooms, said Katie Foshay, park manager. The campground, called the Shipwreck Creek, will be the park’s first with drive-in sites. The sites open in the fall, Foshay said.

Designed for detail. Ledge rock has been left in place so each campsite is unique with a bit of a buffer between sites.
