MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. – Deputies tased a Winona man several times Monday night after a 100 mph car chase that ended in a farm field. The driver was pursued after a collision with a four-wheeler along Highway 61. The chase ended four miles later on County Road 23 out of Minnesota City, but, deputies said, the driver was uncooperative and hence the tasing. An emergency medical crew was called to check on the driver and declared him uninjured. At the police station in Winona, Dennis George Lemke, 44, of Winona, was held for fleeing police and possessing drug paraphernalia. There was a broken methamphetamine pipe in the car, deputies said. Police ordered blood tests for chemicals.
