MADISON, Wis. – In a 4-3 opinion the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Governor Tony Evers’s mask mandate. The governor did not have the proper authority to mandate face coverings in public spaces, the Court ruled. Justice Brian Hagedorn wrote the majority opinion: “The question in this case is not whether the Governor acted wisely; it is whether he acted lawfully. We conclude he did not.”
