WINONA, Minn. – A Winona woman was hospitalized after a head-on crash on Riverview Drive near the fleeting harbor. Police at the scene were unsure of the extent of the injuries to Doreen M. Volkman, 53. Police said that the accident occurred when Marlene J. Steenerson, 20, of Elk River, was attempting to drive around a semi-truck that was turning at the ADM terminal. She collided head-on with the Volkman vehicle. The accident was about 1:25 p.m. The wreckage closed Riverview Drive for an hour.
